This amazing product is….(drum roll please)…. APPLE CIDER VINEGAR (also known as ACV)!! ACV is proven to have countless benefits for your hair, skin, and body! Over the past few years, it has become one of my favorite products to use on my hair and an essential in my haircare routine. Here are the following benefits that are a part of using apple cider vinegar.
GROWS HAIR FASTER!
One of the main topics I discuss on my channels are remedies that help grow hair faster. ACV is definitely one of the easiest remedies to make/use in order to grow hair! ACV contains properties that encourage blood flow in the scalp which will lead to faster hair growth. If you’re dealing with excessive hair fall, using apple cider vinegar in your haircare routine will strengthen hair follicles and prevent hair loss.
FIGHTS DANDRUFF!
I used to suffer with dandruff which was really embarrassing because for dark haired girls like me, dandruff is a lot more visible. Once I incorporated ACV into my daily haircare routine, I have never dealt with dandruff again! Due to the antibacterial and antifungal properties, it helps fight the itchy and dry scalp.
CLARIFYING
There are many hair care products in the beauty industry that sound promising but they all end up destroying our natural hair. Your daily hair care products which promises you healthy and gorgeous hair are actually induced with chemicals/acids. This goes for your hair masks, gel, spray, serums and etc. This is why I urge organic hair masks and hair care products with natural ingredients like plant-based oils and such. Of course, not everyone will follow an organic and healthy haircare routine but using ACV will help cleanse away all the dirt that may have piled up from your products.

Now that I have discussed the countless advantages of using ACV on your hair, you’re probably wondering how the heck to use it!
There are a few ways of using ACV.
The first is a simple hair rinse which I use almost every time I shower. I pour 2 tbsp of ACV + 1 cup of water into a jar. After shampoo and conditioner, I dip my ends into the jar, and then I dump the rest of the hair rinse over my head and hair. Leave on for at least 3 minutes (massage scalp during this time) and then rinse off with plain water.
The next way is almost identical to the first. The only difference is using ACV before your shower. Pour 2 tbsp of ACV + 1 cup of water into a spray bottle. Spray your scalp/hair and massage scalp thoroughly for 5 minutes. Leave on for 5-10 minutes and rinse off in the shower.
Another way is incorporating ACV into a hair growth mask. You can use any carrier oil [(1 Tbsp) coconut oil, olive oil, avocado oil, grapeseed oil, etc] + 2 tbsp of ACV + 1 tbsp of plain water. Apply to scalp, leave on for 20 minutes, and then follow along with your shower routine.
